I generally recommend starting 12–18 months before your wedding, particularly for sought-after venues and popular dates. This gives you time to secure the right venue and suppliers and plan the guest experience thoughtfully.
If you're working with a shorter timeline, however, don't assume it's too late. The right planning approach and trusted supplier relationships can make a shorter engagement possible too.
